Stride Rite announced its latest eco-friendly sneakers made with renewable and recycled materials: Sprout and Fern. The design is made of 30% seaweed fiber and 70% organic cotton; recycled, flexible, and a slip-resistant outsole made with 10% recycled rubber.
Loofah sponges inspire a new water cleaning material
Researchers have been inspired by loofah sponges to develop a sunlight-powered porous hydrogel that could potentially purify enough water to satisfy someone’s daily needs, regardless of weather conditions.
